 ABSTRACT

The digital teaching file is growing in importance in institutions where the trend is away from film. The RSNA’s Medical Imaging Resource Center (MIRC) project has developed software to make it easy to install and run a teaching file system that integrates with PACS and modalities, provides authoring tools for the creation of teaching file content, and at the option of the institution, allows an institution to participate in the MIRC community by sharing its teaching file content with other institutions. The software also provides image transport capability allowing institutions to participate in multi-institution clinical trials conveniently. The purpose of this course is to teach participants how to obtain and run this software to create their own teaching file systems using the RSNA’s software.
