Learning Objectives


Identify abnormal findings on radiologic studies. Construct a list of differential diagnoses based on the radiologic findings. Infer the most likely diagnosis according to both the clinical and the radiologic information. Determine which, if any, additional radiologic studies or procedures are needed in order to make a final diagnosis.

  • Case 2: Nodular eosinophilic pneumonia, likely secondary to medication reaction
  • Case 3: Horseshoe lung associated with pulmonary hypoplasia and esophageal atresia
  • Case 4: Type 1 Gaucher disease with splenic lymphoma
  • Case 5: Mucopolysaccharidosis type I-S (Scheie syndrome)
  • Case 6: Rasmussen encephalitis
  • Case 7: Acellular mucinous pleural tumors with pseudomyxoma peritonei
  • Case 8: Primary bacterial peritonitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes
  • Case 9: Retroperitoneal lymphangioleiomyomatosis
  • Case 10: Benign metastasizing leiomyomas (metastatic skeletal leiomyomatosis)
